Matthew 6:34

"So don't worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will bring it's own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." (Matthew 6:34)

There are days when I have trouble concentrating. I tend to let my mind wander and dwell on the the immense list of things I need to do. I worry that I will never accomplish all that needs to get done. I worry that someone will come and take our foster son away before he's adopted. I worry that something will happen to one or all of my kids. I worry, I worry, I worry! I hate it! I'm working on learning how to let God handle all things that come my way. I am not in control of my life, God is in control and I must trust in that. I've been dwelling on this thought for a couple of weeks now. Some things beyond my control happened recently and it seems my faith is being tested.

"Don't worry about anything instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done." Phillipians 4:6

In reading these verses I know that God has a handle on things and doesn't need my help or my worrying and that my job is to trust in Him and go on with my life. This is what I've learned. My faith is strong and I want others to share my faith and to know that the Lord is with you in all you do. Trust in Him.

I really just felt the need to get that down. Maybe posting it on here solidifies it for me. I don't know, I just know that I believe what I've said to be true and pray that belief will help me to relax and trust in the Lord.

  2. Yeah, me too! I go back to them pretty often here lately. WE're moving too, but that doesn't worry me. I'm worried about the adoption. I just want it to be finalized once and for all so he can be ours.
We're moving to Japan in June! We want our little baby boy to go with us and be a part of our family forever! We've given too many kids back and we don't want to lose this one.
Here's another verse I have found helpful:
"Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm." Exodus 14:13-14
